This is a hidden treasure. The food was very good. The prices were very reasonable for the portion size that was big. We got the pork, chicken, and kalbi beef all very tender, and the marinade was very tasty. The servers were nice and helpful. They had the air conditioning on high and it felt super good in the dining area. Finally their cakes are so delicious. The guava, Oreo cheesecake and chocolate cakes were so good my family members didn't want to share. You should definitely try Straight Up Cafe.

this spot is our regular lunch spot close to work service is so nice and easy going. the lilikoi lemonade in the mason jar!! so so good no photo but lip smackin poppin! dipping our spam musubis in the chili water! best taste ever! so good! dining in is chill too! it's comfortable!

I heard about this place from YouTube and had to try it while visiting Vegas. I got the straight-up combo that came with Kalbi ribs, teriyaki chicken, and kalua pork. Every bite was so delicious! The food was so flavorful, and hands down was one of the best Hawaiian food restaurants that I've tried! I highly recommend this place. My favorite meat was the Kalbi. My wife got the spicy tuna bowl and spam musubi loved every bite! My only complaint is that my stomach isn't bigger than the serving size and I couldn't finish all of my food in one sitting!

I absolutely love the food, the owners and the workers. It feels like home to me. Aloha grown . I love the feeling walking into the restaurant. Food I absolutely love the way everything I have eaten has tasted. I definitely go back there as much as I can.
Mood - Killah Grinds/ Straight up Cafe - no this isn't a coffee shop with pastries ( this is straight up food)
I saw this and heard the story. Almost started getting watery eyes from laughing so hard. That people would actually think it was a coffee shop - but then it brings me to what my motto is all about. Culturally we all have those names that our food is referenced too. And if you don't know, LEARN. Especially if you want to eat it and not be that entitled person.
Upon entering was quickly greeted. Menus are at the front counter. You place your order, pay, and it is brought out to you. Unless you're getting it to go, then you just wait and it is bagged up.
Opted for 2 of the Straight Up Combos 1 with Cucumber Kimchi the other with Cabbage Kimchi, that Chantilly Cake of course, and Lilikoi Lemonade. Now was I shook, yes indeed. You can tell each dish was made with pure love. Close your eyes picture yourself on Sandy beach and just enjoy. I'm very picky when it comes to Kalua Pig and Chantilly Cake. And if you don't have an Imu which most don't, hard to come by proper river rock, the taste has to be created. This place stole the show with the flavor. Js....
Interior is a good size. There are several table and chair arrangements. Music was going on the background. Everything was very clean.
Would most def recommend- pricing is a reflection of quality and presentation. Plus have you been to the grocery lately, outrageous? The prices are a reflection of direct inflation but still at good portions. It is worth it. Customer service is on point
My first time here and let me tell you, the food is ridiculously delicious!!!! Amazing!! All the other Hawaiian bbq places don't even compare to the quality of this food at Straight Up Cafe. This place should be in a catagory of its own. We'll be back and often.
